Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Osasun Alamo kicked off to start the match. The supporters of Sao Luis F.C booed when Damian was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gitano Lecea didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience held their breath when Ekialde Loranza in the 9th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Rolando Ladra's left hand side. Oliveiro Urquiola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Perez Collantes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Damian's Javier Ibarra got a free kick in the 13th minute. Javier Ibarra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 24 minutes into the match, Sao Luis F.C's goalkeeper Oliveiro Urquiola had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Javier Ibarra. An unexpectedly hard shot by Perez Collantes in the 31st minute of play forced Sao Luis F.C's goalkeeper Oliveiro Urquiola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Perez Collantes came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Damian fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Perez Collantes couldn't finish the play. Ekialde Loranza kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. If Perez Collantes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Javier Ibarra got free with Oliveiro Urquiola in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 42nd minute, Damian's Bittor Bernaldo seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Bittor Bernaldo the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Damian protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Bittor Bernaldo had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Ekialde Loranza walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. In the 45th minute of the match, Javier Ibarra got a very nice opportunity to score, but Oliveiro Urquiola was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Javier Ibarra stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Esteban Quintero was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sao Luis F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Damian the free kick. Javier Ibarra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Damian booed when Sao Luis F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ekialde Loranza didn't get a good kick on the ball. 60 minutes into the game, Damian's Javier Ibarra nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Oliveiro Urquiola made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Oliveiro Urquiola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Javier Ibarra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rolando Ladra made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Esteban Quintero sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Sao Luis F.C's Osasun Alamo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rolando Ladra. That made the score 1-1 after 70 minutes of play. Javier Ibarra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Oliveiro Urquiola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sao Luis F.C's Oliveiro Urquiola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Javier Ibarra in the 80th minute of play. If Javier Ibarra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Samuel Quicedo during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Damian's Samuel Quicedo got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Osasun Alamo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Rolando Ladra made a huge save. The supporters of Sao Luis F.C booed when Damian was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Richie Besosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Oliveiro Urquiola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Javier Ibarra, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. After having played for 96 minutes, Osasun Alamo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sao Luis F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Osasun Alamo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
