Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Karlos Mazas started the match with the kick off. In the 5th match minute, Maquina del Mal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Errando Mendana to maneuver through the defense. Pelagius Aguinaco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elodio Ingla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some careless play in the Maquina del Mal defense, Elodio Ingla kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Maule Caldevilla. The Maquina del Mal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Maule Caldevilla should have stopped the shot. In the 17th minute, Sal Pizarro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Matepantano's Pelagius Aguinaco in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Maquina del Mal's goalie prevented a goal. Maule Caldevilla came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Matepantano's Elodio Ingla. But to his dismay, Elodio Ingla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Gar Villoldo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sein Ita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maule Caldevilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elodio Ingla, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. If Pelagius Aguinaco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Matepantano getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Sal Pizarro hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Maquina del Mal's Sein Ita got a free kick in the 43rd minute. A hard shot 46 in the game by Todor Lasso from a close distance when the talented Gar Villoldo managed to make a qualified save. Matepantano's players were relieved. Darien Tijerina charged in rather forcefully in the 48th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Darien Tijerina the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Maquina del Mal booed when Matepantano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Darien Tijerina didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maquina del Mal's Duardo Hergueta couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 49th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Matepantano. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The audience was convinced that Elodio Ingla's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Maule Caldevilla was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. In the 56th minute, Belmiro Albiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maule Caldevilla made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Pelagius Aguinaco sent off a good shot on target. Elodio Ingla blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Maule Caldevilla having to make a save. Pelagius Aguinaco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maule Caldevilla having to interfere. Elodio Ingla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maule Caldevilla having to interfere. If Pelagius Aguinaco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karlos Mazas in the 69th minute of play forced Matepantano's goalkeeper Gar Villoldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd minute, Pelagius Aguinaco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pelagius Aguinaco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Maule Caldevilla made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Pelagius Aguinaco sent off a good shot on target. 81 minutes into the match, Todor Lasso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gar Villoldo. Matepantano's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Todor Lasso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. When Sein Ita fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Maquina del Mal's protests and gave Sein Ita a yellow card for diving instead. In the 86th minute, Sein Ita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 91stth minute of the game Elodio Ingla who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maquina del Mal's Maule Caldevilla was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Maule Caldevilla acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 93rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Flor Iturbe. Matepantano played a much better game than Maquina del Mal and deserved their victory. The Maquina del Mal players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
