Sebastian Hurtado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Berrio's Medero Quadros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Berrio from getting a goal against them. 17 minutes into the match, Atletico Caro Zapata's goal looked a bit too open when Cleto Lozada came free, but Jatsu Cachorro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cleto Lozada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpected shot in the 28th minute by Sebastian Hurtado got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 31 minutes into the match, Berrio's goalkeeper Medero Quadros had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sebastian Hurtado. In the 33rd minute of the match Jago Romai shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Medero Quadros showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Atletico Caro Zapata booed when Berrio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domenec Aranzazu didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Sebastian Hurtado came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Atletico Caro Zapata fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sebastian Hurtado couldn't finish the play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Berrio fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 36th minute. Penalty! Diego Salmanton shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. After 40 played minutes Atletico Caro Zapata got a freekick which was hit by Ekain Requena. In the 42nd minute, Cleto Lozada got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Sebastian Hurtado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Atletico Caro Zapata's Ariando Yzarra got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cleto Lozada to make the kick off. Ariando Yzarra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sebastian Hurtado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 55th minute, Ariando Yzarra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ariando Yzarra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Medero Quadros having to interfere. Montay Arruga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jatsu Cachorro having to interfere. Domenec Aranzazu hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. When Sebastian Hurtado came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Atletico Caro Zapata fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sebastian Hurtado couldn't finish the play. Medero Quadros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Hurtado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 80 minutes into the game, Sauveur Peñafiel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atletico Caro Zapata's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Berrio the free kick. Handi Zazo placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! 84 minutes into the match, Berrio's goal looked a bit too open when Ariando Yzarra came free, but Medero Quadros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Berrio's zone, Sebastian Hurtado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Medero Quadros came out of the goal and Sebastian Hurtado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 90 minutes, Miguel Dicastillo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atletico Caro Zapata and the Berrio players grew even worse after the yellow card. Miguel Dicastillo kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. A collision led to Atletico Caro Zapata getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Ariando Yzarra hit a great ball. Montay Arruga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Jatsu Cachorro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 96 played minutes Atletico Caro Zapata got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Dicastillo. Jatsu Cachorro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cleto Lozada's shot from short distance in the 99th minute. Despite being the better team, Atletico Caro Zapata failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
