Montel Escanciano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eneko Rius in the 17th minute. Eneko Rius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Montel Escanciano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Maranguay getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Illan Cascos hit a great ball. With a little luck, Maranguay's Montel Escanciano got control of the ball when Eneko Rius tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Clemente Perdomo came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Maranguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clemente Perdomo couldn't finish the play. Tabby Larrechi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucero Torres in the 34th minute of play. Argider Vado charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Argider Vado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Argider Vado hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Montel Escanciano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eneko Rius in the 38th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ikatz Moscoso was the one to do the kick off. Clemente Perdomo succeeded in the game's 52nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. Clemente Perdomo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Tabby Larrechi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 57 minutes, Eneko Rius managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gines Sole was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 67 minutes into the match. In the 66th minute, one of Maranguay:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Maranguay. Montel Escanciano had in the 69thth minute some difficulties stopping Camerino Oyuelos's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 74th minute, Lucero Torres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maranguay's Orland Rosio got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Guacari FC's Tabby Larrechi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clemente Perdomo in the 80th minute of play. Clemente Perdomo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Tabby Larrechi made a huge save. In the 85th minute, Clemente Perdomo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Clemente Perdomo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maranguay's supporters rose to their feet, but Clemente Perdomo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tabby Larrechi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
