In the 4th minute, Azulejos's Gabon Castelo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Amancio Pelayo. Amancio Pelayo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Timeteo Solbeida charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Timeteo Solbeida the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Leones F.C booed when Azulejos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timeteo Solbeida didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13th minute Peter Labiada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Umea Gavilanes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 14 minutes into the game, Xavies Aladro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Umea Gavilanes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Umea Gavilanes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peter Labiada, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. 27 minutes into the game, Mogel Trarigo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Leones F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Azulejos the free kick. After 27 played minutes Leones F.C got a freekick which was hit by Mogel Trarigo. Gabon Castelo struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Amancio Pelayo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Azulejos. Blasco Bolinaga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Amancio Pelayo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gabon Castelo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Peter Labiada fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Umea Gavilanes having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gabon Castelo to make the kick off. Azulejos's Blasco Bolinaga got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 54th minute, Timeteo Solbeida hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gabon Castelo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amancio Pelayo having to interfere. In the 71st minute, Leones F.C's Peter Labiada ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Umea Gavilanes. Umea Gavilanes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Baiardo Durana kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Leones F.C's goalkeeper Amancio Pelayo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Blasco Bolinaga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amancio Pelayo having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Leones F.C's Urtsua Duran got a free kick in the 81st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Blasco Bolinaga in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amancio Pelayo saved Leones F.C from getting behind. Xavies Aladro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Azulejos supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Leones F.C's performance. The match ended with a win for Leones F.C.
