Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Maties Vara took the kick off in the first half of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Baumer Botana managed to get in a good position for a shot. ATLETICO BUCARAMANGA's supporters rose to their feet, but Baumer Botana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mel Grillo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Gitano Fornell came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the ATLETICO BUCARAMANGA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gitano Fornell couldn't finish the play. The supporters of ATLETICO BUCARAMANGA booed when Zapatero was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ellande Candolias didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 15th minute of the match Ellande Candolias sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leon Carrete skillfully saved the ball. 27 minutes into the game, Baumer Botana cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Mel Grillo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 31stth minute of the game Gitano Fornell who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zapatero's Mel Grillo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 31st minute, Bihar Tijero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Celso Almazan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Leon Carrete made a huge save. Baumer Botana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mel Grillo having to interfere. After 45 played minutes ATLETICO BUCARAMANGA got a freekick which was hit by Benedicto Pozuelos. Celso Almazan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Leon Carrete tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Baumer Botana stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 54 minutes, Maties Vara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zapatero's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maties Vara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Baumer Botana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Baumer Botana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Mel Grillo managed to avoid a goal in the 68thth minute, when ATLETICO BUCARAMANGA's Baumer Botana fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 69 minutes into the match, Zapatero's goalkeeper Mel Grillo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gitano Fornell. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benedicto Pozuelos in the 74th minute of play forced Zapatero's goalkeeper Mel Grillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leon Carrete made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celso Almazan in the 80th minute of play. If Maties Vara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bingen Espina during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 87 played minutes ATLETICO BUCARAMANGA got a freekick which was hit by Bingen Espina. Zapatero's Celso Almazan got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Zapatero's goalkeeper Mel Grillo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Baumer Botana came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the ATLETICO BUCARAMANGA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baumer Botana couldn't finish the play. After 97 played minutes Zapatero got a freekick which was hit by Bihar Tijero. Mel Grillo was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 98th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Dominix Balda. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. ATLETICO BUCARAMANGA walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
