Seating: 1837, VIP seats: 0) Paipa's Oihenarte Villagomez started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Onbera Romay in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Macario Mayo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 5th minute, Iago Saribiarte left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Estudiantes jr fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Bero Lardero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eusebio Cascallana hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. 14 minutes into the game, Xavies Cañellas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Paipa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Estudiantes jr the free kick. Xavies Cañellas kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. The supporters of Paipa booed when Estudiantes jr was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Inocente Ruiz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 22 minutes, Onbera Romay managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Estudiantes jr's supporters crossed their fingers, but Onbera Romay was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 25thth minute of the game Onbera Romay who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Paipa's Macario Mayo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 28 played minutes Paipa got a freekick which was hit by Rocendo Echeverria. The supporters of Estudiantes jr booed when Paipa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chap Arzola didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Iago Saribiarte came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Estudiantes jr fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iago Saribiarte couldn't finish the play. Onbera Romay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Macario Mayo having to interfere. Paipa's Macario Mayo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Onbera Romay in the 38th minute of play. Estudiantes jr were awarded a corner in the 40th minute after Paipa's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Rutenio Mangual took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Sugoi Lojo managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sugoi Lojo in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Macario Mayo saved Paipa from getting behind. In the 46th minute Iago Saribiarte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Macario Mayo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Iago Saribiarte to make the kick off. Onbera Romay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Macario Mayo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Onbera Romay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Macario Mayo having to interfere. If Onbera Romay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 70 minutes into the match, Iago Saribiarte dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Macario Mayo, 0-3. Iago Saribiarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Macario Mayo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iago Saribiarte in the 75th minute of play. After having played for 79 minutes, Onbera Romay managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Estudiantes jr's supporters crossed their fingers, but Onbera Romay was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Oihenarte Villagomez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Oihenarte Villagomez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle sounded Estudiantes jr left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Paipa.
