The audience thought a goal was coming when Azubeli Mojon got free with Chuse Aspiazu in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Azubeli Mojon who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Chuse Aspiazu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Azubeli Mojon kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Chuse Aspiazu. That made the score 1-0 in the 24 minute of play. Jimeno Cortinez hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Azubeli Mojons short, quick shot in the 37thth minute got Chuse Aspiazu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Jimeno Cortinez came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Independiente del Huila fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jimeno Cortinez couldn't finish the play. Balones pinchados's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Frichoso Chapa 63 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-1. Independiente del Huila's Galsino Abreu quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Felipillo Bacardi, made in the 69th minute of the game. In the 73rdth minute of the game Azubeli Mojon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Independiente del Huila's Chuse Aspiazu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Azubeli Mojon in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Chuse Aspiazu saved Independiente del Huila from getting behind. Birjaio Ricote fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chuse Aspiazu having to interfere. After 88 minutes of play, Balones pinchados's Azubeli Mojon made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Chuse Aspiazu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mendiko Ybañez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Gumaro Casanova tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jimeno Cortinez got free with Gumaro Casanova in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Balones pinchados fans cheered their team off the field, for while Independiente del Huila had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
