Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aquilino Melgosa in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Camilo Mariategui prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marciano Rodero during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 37th minute Aquilino Melgosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camilo Mariategui saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Loreto Moracia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Xanti Montalban read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 49th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The Colombia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Xavion Bizoso in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Camilo Mariategui saved Chuanco FC from getting behind. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Colombia's goalkeeper Xanti Montalban, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Loreto Moracia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Xanti Montalban tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Xizavier Gurendes charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Xizavier Gurendes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
