A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 35th minute Aquilino Melgosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salvidor Fandoz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Loco Sagredo was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 39 minutes into the match, Colombia's goalkeeper Xanti Montalban had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jonatan Mimbreño. Salvidor Fandoz made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Xavion Bizoso sent off a good shot on target. Colombia's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
