Semih Şentürk's late challenge caught a CA Barrancabermeja's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Semih Şentürk helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Jaraquin's Semih Şentürk got a free kick in the 5th minute. A collision led to CA Barrancabermeja getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Teyo Melendez hit a great ball. When Adamnan Frankson fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jaraquin's protests and gave Adamnan Frankson a yellow card for diving instead. In the 17th minute, Adamnan Frankson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Francesco Codony received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Bernardo Perdigão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 21 minutes into the match, Gürel Saykut had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Denis Sudupe. CA Barrancabermeja's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gürel Saykut was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Jaraquin's Bernardo Perdigão proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Jaraquin from getting a goal against them. The supporters of CA Barrancabermeja booed when Jaraquin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adamnan Frankson didn't get a good kick on the ball. CA Barrancabermeja's Salvidor Navarrete got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Salvidor Navarrete was the one to do the kick off. After 51 minutes, Garcia Acutain mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jaraquin and the CA Barrancabermeja players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gürel Saykut shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Rigoberto Santillion recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Manuel Rey could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Denis Sudupe made a huge save. In the 75th minute, Imanol Terres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gürel Saykut took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Denis Sudupe. Denis Sudupe dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. After 84 minutes, Harri Llago mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jaraquin and the CA Barrancabermeja players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of CA Barrancabermeja booed when Jaraquin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harri Llago didn't get a good kick on the ball. 87 minutes into the match, Jaraquin's goal looked a bit too open when Salvidor Navarrete came free, but Bernardo Perdigão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 94 minutes into the match, CA Barrancabermeja's Francesco Codony sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bernardo Perdigão narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 96th minute of the match, Rafal Wolczewski tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Denis Sudupe saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The Jaraquin supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Jaraquin would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
