He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in LLaneros FC reached it. After some careless play in the LLaneros FC defense, Sandaili Paris kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Matai Larrea. The LLaneros FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Matai Larrea should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sandaili Paris in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Matai Larrea prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 37th minute, Bahiano Santiso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Matai Larrea was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Sandaili Paris received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Matai Larrea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 44 minutes into the game, ATLETICO NACIONAL's Bahiano Santiso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Matai Larrea made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. After the first half ATLETICO NACIONAL were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sandaili Paris stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
