Celso Barreiro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Refugio Usategui received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Jerardo Avendaño tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Orlando Mendieta charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Orlando Mendieta the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Berbena Lechuzen FC booed when FENIX FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orlando Mendieta didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mouricio Madariaga got free with Rius Aribau in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rius Aribau showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celso Barreiro in the 23rd minute of the match. Rius Aribau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernan Cifuentes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristos Chandeiro in the 27th minute of play forced Berbena Lechuzen FC's goalkeeper Jerardo Avendaño to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Refugio Usategui received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Berbena Lechuzen FC's goalkeeper Jerardo Avendaño, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rius Aribau was out of position in the 47 minute of play, and Fernan Cifuentes capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Fernan Cifuentes really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cristos Chandeiro to make the kick off. Refugio Usategui received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Jerardo Avendaño tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rius Aribau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celso Barreiro in the 60th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in FENIX FC's zone, Quinten Titos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rius Aribau came out of the goal and Quinten Titos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Orlando Mendieta was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 66 minutes had been played. In the 66th minute, Orlando Mendieta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mouricio Madariaga scored 3-0 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rius Aribau, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Celso Barreiro took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rius Aribau. Rius Aribau dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. In the 82nd minute Mouricio Madariaga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rius Aribau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 84 minutes, Refugio Usategui managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FENIX FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Refugio Usategui was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 87 minutes into the match, FENIX FC's goal looked a bit too open when Celso Barreiro came free, but Rius Aribau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zuzen Bringas struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Jerardo Avendaño didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FENIX FC. FENIX FC's Rius Aribau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mouricio Madariaga in the 95th minute of play. Berbena Lechuzen FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
