Jörgen Uggla's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Damian Paulică read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. In the 13th minute, Jan-Pieter De Poorter made a precise shot to the right of Damian Paulică. BARCELONA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After 17 minutes, Jan-Pieter De Poorter made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. BARCELONA's Damian Paulică tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. BARCELONA's Damian Paulică played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by La Cara in the 22nd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Jan-Pieter De Poorter put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Damian Paulică. 29 minutes into the match, BARCELONA's goal looked a bit too open when Eric Cotoi came free, but Damian Paulică reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Caligaris were leading 0-7. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fabian Wisgerhof to strike the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Caligaris's Branco Alberto slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Damian Paulică. That made the score 0-8 after 52 minutes of play. When Eric Cotoi came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Caligaris fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eric Cotoi couldn't finish the play. Jan-Pieter De Poorter recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 65th minute Jörgen Uggla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damian Paulică saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 68 played minutes BARCELONA got a freekick which was hit by Adam Haaland. After some careless play in the BARCELONA defense, Jan-Pieter De Poorter kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Damian Paulică. The BARCELONA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Damian Paulică should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcel Vroom in the 75th minute of play forced BARCELONA's goalkeeper Damian Paulică to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcel Vroom might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Damian Paulică. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcel Vroom ran back to his position shaking his head. With an all-out effort, Caligaris's Damian Paulică threw himself towards the right post 90 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jörgen Uggla, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Damian Paulică made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eric Cotoi in the 91st minute. When the match was over Caligaris could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than BARCELONA throughout the match.
