Nardo Guadiana made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Danel Urreta sent off a good shot on target. Transito Roqueñi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

After some careless play in the Matamoros defense, Naelio Giraldo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roque Olazagoitia. The Matamoros fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roque Olazagoitia should have stopped the shot. After 78 played minutes Matamoros got a freekick which was hit by Mancio Rodriguez. Teodoro Villarias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roque Olazagoitia having to interfere. Nardo Guadiana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mambru Parserises, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nardo Guadiana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mambru Parserises, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Matamoros's Roque Olazagoitia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oso Molina in the 96th minute of play. Reload FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
