The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 6th minute of the game. One of Chispas FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Angeles FC:s goal. When Gaspar Taladriz came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Angeles FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaspar Taladriz couldn't finish the play. Angeles FC's Şeref Şahbender played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bittor Goyeneta in the 14th minute of play. In the 17th minute Edelmiro Pagomari shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virila Oberto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roberto Guerrez's late challenge caught a Angeles FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roberto Guerrez helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Angeles FC booed when Chispas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roberto Guerrez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Virila Oberto made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Gaspar Taladriz sent off a good shot on target. After 20 played minutes Angeles FC got a freekick which was hit by Marcu Cândroveanu. Edelmiro Pagomari struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Virila Oberto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Angeles FC. Virila Oberto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edelmiro Pagomari's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. 44 minutes into the match, Edelmiro Pagomari had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Virila Oberto. Chispas FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edelmiro Pagomari was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edelmiro Pagomari in the 48th minute of play forced Chispas FC's goalkeeper Virila Oberto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

Virila Oberto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edelmiro Pagomari in the 51st minute of play. Virgilio Remon charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Virgilio Remon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 71 minutes into the game, Irrintzi Carranza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chispas FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Angeles FC the free kick. After 72 played minutes Chispas FC got a freekick which was hit by Irrintzi Carranza. When the match clock showed 73 minutes, the score became 8-0 when Gaspar Taladriz sped through Chispas FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Virila Oberto. 76 minutes into the match, Angeles FC's goal looked a bit too open when Medero Pineros came free, but Şeref Şahbender reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 87 played minutes, Angeles FC's Radamel Macho shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Virila Oberto came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Angeles FC reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edelmiro Pagomari in the 89th minute of play forced Chispas FC's goalkeeper Virila Oberto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Virila Oberto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaspar Taladriz in the 90th minute of play. There was no doubt that Angeles FC were the better team. Angeles FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
