The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Llanos Amigo charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Llanos Amigo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Llanos Amigo kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. A collision led to Zion getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Zornin Espineiro hit a great ball. CF Selva Serrat's Rafe Palos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Louis Ebro in the 6th minute of play. Weterio Valdivieso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Niguel Varaona made a huge save. A collision led to CF Selva Serrat getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Hodei Capelo hit a great ball. Rafe Palos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xines Holguin in the 10th minute of play. After 12 played minutes CF Selva Serrat got a freekick which was hit by Gonza Tofino. An unexpectedly hard shot by Louis Ebro in the 21st minute of play forced CF Selva Serrat's goalkeeper Rafe Palos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Zion getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Iigo Diez hit a great ball. Rafe Palos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Asteri Canal, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Rafe Palos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Louis Ebro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 32nd minute, Mederi Olarria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Louis Ebro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafe Palos having to interfere. 39 minutes into the game, Gasteiz Luga cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Rafe Palos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 45 minutes, Gonza Tofino mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CF Selva Serrat and the Zion players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 45th minute, Gonza Tofino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 47th minute, Mederi Olarria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Weterio Valdivieso to make the kick off. Rafe Palos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xines Holguin in the 51st minute of the match. If Asteri Canal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rafe Palos made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Gasteiz Luga sent off a good shot on target. After 58 minutes CF Selva Serrat's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gasteiz Luga who took care of the corner kick. Louis Ebro made a great header on Zion's corner, it was just that CF Selva Serrat's Rafe Palos managed to reach the ball for a save. When Xines Holguin, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 59 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Rafe Palos was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After some careless play in the CF Selva Serrat defense, Gasteiz Luga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rafe Palos. The CF Selva Serrat fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rafe Palos should have stopped the shot. When Gasteiz Luga came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Zion fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gasteiz Luga couldn't finish the play. In the 73rd minute Louis Ebro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafe Palos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Zion's Asteri Canal in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye CF Selva Serrat's goalie prevented a goal. After 79 played minutes CF Selva Serrat got a freekick which was hit by Edur Cruz. The supporters of Zion booed when CF Selva Serrat was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hodei Capelo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind CF Selva Serrat's goalkeeper Rafe Palos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 81 minutes CF Selva Serrat's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gasteiz Luga who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Gasteiz Luga got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Rafe Palos quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Rafe Palos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zornin Espineiro's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. Weterio Valdivieso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niguel Varaona having to interfere. Rafe Palos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zornin Espineiro in the 89th minute. After a rather tough play, Zion's Xines Holguin got a free kick in the 90th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zornin Espineiro in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rafe Palos saved CF Selva Serrat from getting behind. Berenguer Ituarte hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. When the final whistle sounded Zion left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than CF Selva Serrat.
