GreenUnited's Sebastián Torrico played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rigoberto Bastiaro in the 32nd minute of play. If Rigoberto Bastiaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind GreenUnited's goalkeeper Sebastián Torrico, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Glorioso Deportivo Cali were awarded a corner in the 37th minute after GreenUnited's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jacindo Baezabal took the corner. Belmiro Corzana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 44 minutes into the match, Carlomagno Vellosillo notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Glorioso Deportivo Cali's Belmiro Corzana. Belmiro Corzana was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sebastián Torrico was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. GreenUnited's Joao Zuazo was substituted for Max Farr. In the 66th minute Rigoberto Bastiaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastián Torrico saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Dănilă received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Belmiro Corzana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Glorioso Deportivo Cali's Tzvetan Mudrov was substituted for Teofilo Mascarañas. Sebastián Torrico showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rigoberto Bastiaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute.
