Firmo Herreros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaston Mussoll, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 19th minute of the game. One of Carreno FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of CA Hispano Barquisimeto:s goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauricio Sevillano in the 25th minute of play forced Carreno FC's goalkeeper Firmo Herreros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the match, CA Hispano Barquisimeto's Gaston Mussoll sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Firmo Herreros narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Mauricio Sevillano managed to get in a good position for a shot. CA Hispano Barquisimeto's supporters rose to their feet, but Mauricio Sevillano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Firmo Herreros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 35 minutes, Gaston Mussoll managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CA Hispano Barquisimeto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gaston Mussoll was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gaston Mussoll struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Firmo Herreros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CA Hispano Barquisimeto. A collision led to Carreno FC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Quintyn Salazano hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gaston Mussoll in the 49th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Firmo Herreros prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gaston Mussoll made a kick off. Gaston Mussoll recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mauricio Sevillano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gaston Mussoll received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Firmo Herreros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Carreno FC's Firmo Herreros got control of the ball when Mauricio Sevillano tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mauricio Sevillano who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 63rdth minute tested the skills of Firmo Herreros when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Gaston Mussoll fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Firmo Herreros having to interfere. The supporters of Carreno FC booed when CA Hispano Barquisimeto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pacifico Anderica didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 69th minute, Gaston Mussoll reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Firmo Herreros. The goal made the score 0-2.
