Sangay FC's Ulizes Berenguer got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The tension between the Yacuaray FC and the Sangay FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 12 minutes into the match, Sangay FC's goalkeeper Roman Merida had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Beat Euque. Hugo Antigua fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arano Moyano having to interfere. Ulizes Berenguer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Arano Moyano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Harkaitz Trifol came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Yacuaray FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Harkaitz Trifol couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugo Antigua in the 22nd minute of play forced Yacuaray FC's goalkeeper Arano Moyano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Beat Euque who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 29thth minute tested the skills of Roman Merida when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ulizes Berenguer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Arano Moyano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ulizes Berenguer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Sangay FC's zone, Harkaitz Trifol stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roman Merida came out of the goal and Harkaitz Trifol tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Yacuaray FC booed when Sangay FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aztore Gene didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ulizes Berenguer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arano Moyano having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Harkaitz Trifol made a kick off. Sangay FC's Ulizes Berenguer got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Roman Merida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harkaitz Trifol in the 64th minute of the match. Hugo Antigua received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Arano Moyano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Despite being the better team, Sangay FC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
