The corner led Chivacoa Athletic's Jose Resines to fire away a dangerous shot which Horacio Naredo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Guillelmus Llain charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The crowd rose to their feet as Chivacoa Athletic's Normando Barrasa slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Horacio Naredo. That made the score 0-3 after 61 minutes of play.
