Spectators: 8489 (Terracing: 6390, Seating: 1959, VIP seats: 140) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Domenico Caselles started the match with the kick off. In the 8th match minute, Atlético Yare was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domenico Caselles to maneuver through the defense. Xusto Algarte took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sixto Viñambre. Sixto Viñambre dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Jaunti Liviano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Sixto Viñambre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 14 minutes, Jaunti Liviano made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Atlético Yare's Sixto Viñambre tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 17th minute Humberto Ben shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sixto Viñambre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 18 played minutes Atlético Yare got a freekick which was hit by Ovidio Arraña. After 20 minutes Atlético Yare's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Xusto Algarte who took care of the corner kick. Xusto Algarte made a great header on Deportivo Nirgua FC's corner, it was just that Atlético Yare's Sixto Viñambre managed to reach the ball for a save. When Humberto Ben came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Deportivo Nirgua FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Humberto Ben couldn't finish the play. Camilo Escudero stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Domenico Caselles's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Atlético Yare's goal looked a bit too open when Jaunti Liviano came free, but Sixto Viñambre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd minute Americo Zaldua shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sixto Viñambre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, Deportivo Nirgua FC's goalkeeper Camilo Escudero had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Xines Larrea. After 38 minutes of play, Deportivo Nirgua FC's Xusto Algarte made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sixto Viñambre was left in no man's land by his defense there! Eron Rino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 41 played minutes Atlético Yare got a freekick which was hit by Erdiano Gamboa. In the 46th minute Humberto Ben shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sixto Viñambre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Humberto Ben stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Zilar Lando hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Camilo Escudero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ovidio Arraña, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Domenico Caselles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 59 played minutes Deportivo Nirgua FC got a freekick which was hit by Americo Zaldua. Camilo Escudero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Domenico Caselles in the 61st minute of the match. In the 62nd minute Atlético Yare were awarded a corner. Ovidio Arraña went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Atlético Yare's corner Ovidio Arraña fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Camilo Escudero quite easily take care of the ball. With a little luck, Atlético Yare's Sixto Viñambre got control of the ball when Eron Rino tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sixto Viñambre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Humberto Ben, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. A collision led to Atlético Yare getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Ovidio Arraña hit a great ball. In the 86th minute, Benicio Cabrera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Humberto Ben received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Sixto Viñambre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Atlético Yare's Domenico Caselles got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Atlético Yare getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Edgar Degas hit a great ball. Deportivo Nirgua FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
