After 15 played minutes, Obrero Barquisimeto's Erwin-Alexander De La Rosa-Choca shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Paulo Duarte came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Obrero Barquisimeto reached it. The crowd rose to their feet as Ya Perdimos F.C.'s Charro Dieguez slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Volker Ippig. That made the score 1-1 after 17 minutes of play. Obrero Barquisimeto's Volker Ippig played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charro Dieguez in the 22nd minute of play. Paulo Duarte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gargollo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Charro Dieguezs short, quick shot in the 30thth minute got Volker Ippig to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Charro Dieguez in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Volker Ippig saved Obrero Barquisimeto from getting behind. Volker Ippig made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Urritz Cugurulls sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Urritz Cugurulls got free with Volker Ippig in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Paulo Duarte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gargollo, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Joel Gargollo kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gargollo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
