The corner led Zulia F.C's Alesander Guridi to fire away a dangerous shot which Gudesteo Quincoces despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Romeo Trigueros stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Santikurtz Brunet's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. Linus Löv might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gudesteo Quincoces. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Linus Löv ran back to his position shaking his head. Gudesteo Quincoces took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Linus Löv, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pawel Dybala to strike the kick off in the second half. Asım Sevimli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Romeo Trigueros stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Santikurtz Brunet's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. In the 89th minute, Pierre Kooij got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded.
