The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lanny Gunter to strike the kick off in the second half. In the last second Elliot Fujieda throw himself and got hold of the ball when Lanny Gunter in the 52ndth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. After 92 played minutes Bay Minette got a freekick which was hit by Raymundo Barber. After a defensive mix-up in Bay Minette's zone, Sergio Cherry stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elliot Fujieda came out of the goal and Sergio Cherry tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 95 minutes into the match, Boston City FC's goal looked a bit too open when Boyce Traylor came free, but Jackson Pina reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match was over Boston City FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Bay Minette throughout the match.
