When the match clock showed 3 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Doug Willoughby sped through Falcon FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gregory Madrid. A collision led to Falcon FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Allan Rosenberg hit a great ball. Tyrone Tobin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Gregory Madrid tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A hard shot 11 in the game by Ernest Godfrey from a close distance when the talented Dean Vaughn managed to make a qualified save. Gun Barrel City's players were relieved. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Allan Rosenberg during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Falcon FC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Allan Rosenberg hit a great ball. After having played for 15 minutes, Doug Willoughby managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gun Barrel City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Doug Willoughby was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Falcon FC's zone, Tyrone Tobin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gregory Madrid came out of the goal and Tyrone Tobin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 19 played minutes, Falcon FC's Owen Richter shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dean Vaughn came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Falcon FC reached it. Dean Vaughn was out of position in the 21 minute of play, and Ernest Godfrey capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ernest Godfrey really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Dean Vaughn made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Ernest Godfrey sent off a good shot on target. Jarrod Longoria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dean Vaughn having to interfere. In the 31st minute, Ernest Godfrey got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Josef Deal hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Ernest Godfrey received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dean Vaughn came out and tried to block the shot, but Ernest Godfrey slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 35th minute. Josef Deal was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 38 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Gun Barrel City fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 38th minute. Penalty! 3-1 came through a penalty shot after 40 played minutes, when Falcon FC:s Jarrod Longoria calmly waited for Gun Barrel City:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tyrone Tobin made a kick off. When Ernest Godfrey came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Falcon FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ernest Godfrey couldn't finish the play. In the 61st minute Jarrod Longoria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dean Vaughn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stevie Stanford kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Stevie Stanford during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 65th minute, one of Gun Barrel City:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Gun Barrel City. 4-1 came in the 68th minute when Jarrod Longoria all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Dean Vaughn. When Falcon FC's Ernest Godfrey in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gun Barrel City's goalie prevented a goal. In the 80th play minute Tyrone Tobin came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Gregory Madrid. 4-2. Gun Barrel City's Dean Vaughn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernest Godfrey in the 85th minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, Jarrod Longoria had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dean Vaughn. Gun Barrel City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jarrod Longoria was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-2. In the 91st minute Jarrod Longoria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dean Vaughn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 95th minute, Ernest Godfrey ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dean Vaughn was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-2. Falcon FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
