After a defensive mix-up in Club Santos Laguna's zone, Spencer Rowley stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tuan Ochoa came out of the goal and Spencer Rowley tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jerome Cortez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Stuart Todd tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jerome Cortez got free with Stuart Todd in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 16 played minutes Club Santos Laguna got a freekick which was hit by Zachery Goddard. Tuan Ochoa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Spencer Rowley, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. When North Beach Haven's Spencer Rowley in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Jerome Cortez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stuart Todd read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. Shelton Garcia hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Stuart Todd made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Jerome Cortez sent off a good shot on target. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Carson Kauffman made the kick off in the second half. Jerome Cortez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Stuart Todd having to make a save. In the 56th match minute, North Beach Haven was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Spencer Rowley to maneuver through the defense. Stuart Todd showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carson Kauffman in the 57th minute of the match. Jerome Cortez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Stuart Todd tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carson Kauffman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stuart Todd having to interfere. Jerome Cortez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Stuart Todd having to make a save. Curtis Morrison charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Curtis Morrison the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 73rd minute, Curtis Morrison hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 77th minute, Jerome Cortez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Santos Laguna fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-1. Spencer Rowley took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tuan Ochoa. Tuan Ochoa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-2. After 84 minutes, Carson Kauffman made it 7-2 with a short kick to the right side. North Beach Haven's Stuart Todd tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. North Beach Haven's Stuart Todd played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carson Kauffman in the 86th minute of play. Keith Thorne's late challenge caught a Club Santos Laguna's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Keith Thorne helped the player get up and apologised. In the 90th minute, Keith Thorne hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Club Santos Laguna had played much better football throughout.
