But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jed Spaulding couldn't finish the play. Kraig Lozano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Brady Wiseman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Atletico Madrid's Kraig Lozano in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kraig Lozano in the 23rd minute of play forced Eureka's goalkeeper Brady Wiseman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brady Wiseman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jed Spaulding in the 29th minute of play. In the 34th minute, Eureka's Werner Watts ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Russ Penn. Russ Penn yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Kraig Lozano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brady Wiseman having to interfere. Jed Spaulding sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 42 played minutes Eureka got a freekick which was hit by Frank Graham. Eureka's Brady Wiseman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kraig Lozano in the 43rd minute of play. If Jed Spaulding had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Frank Graham to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th match minute, Eureka was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Werner Watts to maneuver through the defense. A long shot from Deshawn Longoria in the 56th minute of play was well struck, but Brady Wiseman made a really good save at the right post. In the 57th minute, Jed Spaulding got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 62ndth minute of the game Kraig Lozano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Eureka's Brady Wiseman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Jed Spaulding had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kraig Lozano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kraig Lozano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Brady Wiseman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jed Spaulding in the 77th minute. With a little luck, Eureka's Brady Wiseman got control of the ball when Jed Spaulding tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kraig Lozano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brady Wiseman having to interfere. After 85 played minutes Atletico Madrid got a freekick which was hit by Curt Dozier. Jed Spaulding received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute.
