Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Flint McMillian kicked off to start the match. 5 minutes into the match, St Lukes Pioneers's goal looked a bit too open when Duke Howell came free, but Graig Singleton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, St Lukes Pioneers's Kenneth Dubois got a free kick in the 8th minute. Flint McMillian recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Titus Lawrence made an important save on a dangerous shot by DeAngelo Waters in the 12th minute. 16 minutes into the game, DeMarcus Culver cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Graig Singleton was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Graig Singleton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wally Hollandsworth, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Flint McMillian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The St Lukes Pioneers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Graig Singleton should have stopped the shot. Graig Singleton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jackson Sorenson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 35 minutes into the match, Duke Howell had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Graig Singleton. St Lukes Pioneers's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Duke Howell was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. St Lukes Pioneers's Graig Singleton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wally Hollandsworth in the 38th minute of play. After some careless play in the St Lukes Pioneers defense, DeMarcus Culver kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Graig Singleton. The crowd rose to their feet as Almont AFC's Wally Hollandsworth slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Graig Singleton. That made the score 0-5 after 58 minutes of play. In the 68th minute of the match, DeMarcus Culver got a very nice opportunity to score, but Graig Singleton was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. St Lukes Pioneers's Garry Carrington managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Alex Woodall in the 74 minute of the game. Flint McMillian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. St Lukes Pioneers's Graig Singleton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Duke Howell in the 78th minute of play. In the 80th minute Jackson Sorenson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Graig Singleton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 81st minute, Almont AFC's Duke Howell ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Graig Singleton. Graig Singleton yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. The supporters of St Lukes Pioneers booed when Almont AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jackson Sorenson didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Duke Howell in the 90th minute of play forced St Lukes Pioneers's goalkeeper Graig Singleton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. St Lukes Pioneers's Graig Singleton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Duke Howell in the 93rd minute of play. When the match was over Almont AFC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than St Lukes Pioneers throughout the match.
