An unexpectedly hard shot by Denis Bolden in the 16th minute of play forced North Bellmore FC's goalkeeper Shelby Black to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benny Coles's late challenge caught a North Bellmore FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benny Coles helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Knights SC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Benny Coles hit a great ball. Benito Joseph could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Raul McPherson made a huge save. Raul McPherson was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Donald Dupre showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 22 minute of play. During the 27th minute of the match Benny Coles completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Benny Coles a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Guy Whitmore was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 32 minutes into the match. 31 minutes into the game, one of Knights SC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave North Bellmore FC a penalty, 34 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Benito Joseph, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Knights SC's Raul McPherson. 3-0. In the 37th minute, Benito Joseph made a precise shot to the right of Raul McPherson. Knights SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Donald Dupre in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Raul McPherson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alexis Brock stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
