After 21 minutes, Jesse Herman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chelsea F.C. and the Tumwater FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Chelsea F.C. getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Jesse Herman hit a great ball. After 23 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Chelsea F.C.! Raymundo Guzman went to the wrong direction when Enrique Zepeda was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. In the 29th minute, Earl Landreth made a precise shot to the right of Raymundo Guzman. Chelsea F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerard Buckner in the 32nd minute of play forced Tumwater FC's goalkeeper Terence Romero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tumwater FC's Earl Landreth managed to work through Chelsea F.C.'s defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Earl Landreth dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. In the 39th match minute, Chelsea F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Trevor Woodard to maneuver through the defense. In the 41stth minute of the game Earl Landreth who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chelsea F.C.'s Raymundo Guzman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Chelsea F.C.'s Raymundo Guzman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrick Cash in the 42nd minute of play. If Donald Jaramillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute, Patrick Cash got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The wind increased when Gerard Buckner made the kick off in the second half. Patrick Cash fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raymundo Guzman having to interfere. Donald Jaramillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Terence Romero having to interfere. Jermaine Schaffer charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jermaine Schaffer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. It was beautiful to see Tumwater FC's Enrique Zepeda in action when he in the 73rd minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tumwater FC's goalkeeper Terence Romero, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 81st minute Donald Jaramillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Terence Romero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Terence Romero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donald Jaramillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Terence Romero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donald Jaramillo in the 89th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Earl Landreth kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Raymundo Guzman. That made the score 0-2 in the 91 minute of play. In the 95thth minute of the game Gerard Buckner who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tumwater FC's Terence Romero was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Chelsea F.C. were awarded a corner in the 97th minute after Tumwater FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Brant Hobbs took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Tumwater FC's goalie and right to Kristofer Drew. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Tumwater FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal.
