Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Flandreau AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Civic the free kick. The supporters of Civic booed when Flandreau AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brendan Barney didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Abraham Irizarry came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Civic fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abraham Irizarry couldn't finish the play. Randall Sampson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Flandreau AFC's goalkeeper Rhett Egan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Randall Sampson scored 1-2 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rhett Egan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 34 minutes into the match, Flandreau AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Abraham Irizarry came free, but Rhett Egan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 36 minutes, Perry Napier mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Civic and the Flandreau AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 36 played minutes Civic got a freekick which was hit by Perry Napier. Cristopher Metzger made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Nathanial Teague sent off a good shot on target. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Orlando Coleman to make the kick off. Eddie Major kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Cristopher Metzger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orlando Coleman, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. A collision led to Flandreau AFC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Paul Delgado hit a great ball. Derick Fontenot took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 63rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rhett Egan. Flandreau AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Randall Sampson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rhett Egan having to interfere. Flandreau AFC's Nathanial Teague got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cristopher Metzger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Coleman in the 70th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nathanial Teague in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristopher Metzger prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Abraham Irizarry came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Civic fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abraham Irizarry couldn't finish the play. 1-5 became the score in the 83rd minute when Randall Sampson elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Randall Sampson in the 87th minute of play forced Flandreau AFC's goalkeeper Rhett Egan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Perry Napier kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Nathanial Teague fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristopher Metzger having to interfere. If Orlando Coleman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abraham Irizarry blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rhett Egan having to make a save.
