Avery Munoz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 11th match minute, Woodward was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pablo McKay to maneuver through the defense. Avery Munoz was out of position in the 13 minute of play, and Gerardo McGrath capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gerardo McGrath really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Woodward's Jon Albert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daryl Vincent in the 17th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Woodward's goal looked a bit too open when Daryl Vincent came free, but Jon Albert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Conrad Sanderson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Avery Munoz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pablo McKay in the 21st minute of play. In the 27th minute, Daryl Vincent made a precise shot to the right of Jon Albert. Woodward's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Jon Albert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daryl Vincent, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pablo McKay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Avery Munoz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pablo McKay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jon Albert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daryl Vincent in the 41st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mitchell Travis in the 45th minute of play forced Woodward's goalkeeper Jon Albert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Pablo McKay made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Conrad Sanderson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Conrad Sanderson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lake Wissota FC's Mitchell Travis suffered a sore thigh after 65 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 65 minutes into the game, Korey Hollandsworth was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. After a defensive mix-up in Lake Wissota FC's zone, Pablo McKay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Avery Munoz came out of the goal and Pablo McKay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 89 minutes into the match, Kurt Uhl had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jon Albert. Woodward's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kurt Uhl was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-6. Lake Wissota FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
