Spectators: 6737 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1737, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rusty Muniz started the match with the kick off. Susanville's Rufus Ware proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Susanville from getting a goal against them. In the 7th minute Marcus Samuels shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shelby Bruce saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 9 minutes into the match, Alonso Flint had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Shelby Bruce. Huron's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alonso Flint was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 18 minutes into the game, Gerald Bowers cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Rufus Ware was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 23rd minute, Sal West made a precise shot to the right of Shelby Bruce. Huron's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Rufus Ware made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Gerald Bowers sent off a good shot on target. Marcus Samuels received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Shelby Bruce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sal West in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Shelby Bruce saved Huron from getting behind. If Marcus Samuels had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Marcus Samuels might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Shelby Bruce. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcus Samuels ran back to his position shaking his head. 47 minutes into the match, Susanville's goalkeeper Rufus Ware had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gerald Bowers. After the first half Susanville were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 52nd minute, Vincenzo Muniz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Susanville fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. After a rather tough play, Huron's Thanh Holliday got a free kick in the 57th minute. Susanville's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 59th minute of the game, when Emanuel Hoyt after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of Huron's goal. Emanuel Hoyt was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. After a rather tough play, Susanville's Christopher Hendricks got a free kick in the 64th minute. Barry Goodwin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Huron's Shelby Bruce proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Huron from getting a goal against them. Shelby Bruce was out of position in the 74 minute of play, and Sal West capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Sal West really showed his touch with that goal: 1-5. After 79 played minutes Huron got a freekick which was hit by Gilberto Driver. Susanville's Sal West was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 80th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 85th minute, Thanh Holliday hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 87th minute, Susanville's Sal West dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-7. After a rather tough play, Huron's Thanh Holliday got a free kick in the 95th minute. In the 95th minute of the match Emanuel Hoyt sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Shelby Bruce skillfully saved the ball. If Gerald Bowers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Susanville played a much better game than Huron and deserved their victory. The Huron players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
