Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Darell Parker started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 3 minutes into the match, Huron's goalkeeper Shelby Bruce had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Moses Goodman. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Stacey Whitt during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Moses Goodman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Shelby Bruce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 24 played minutes West Linn AFC got a freekick which was hit by Stacey Whitt. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Quentin Golden during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 28th match minute, West Linn AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Quentin Golden to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Moses Goodman got free with Shelby Bruce in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rusty Muniz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mohammed Busch having to interfere. Gerald Bowers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Darell Parker in the 38th minute of play forced Huron's goalkeeper Shelby Bruce to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Moses Goodmans short, quick shot in the 44thth minute got Shelby Bruce to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Boyd Avalos walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rusty Muniz was the one to do the kick off. Shelby Bruce stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Moses Goodman's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. The supporters of West Linn AFC booed when Huron was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jason Jennings didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Huron's zone, Darell Parker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Shelby Bruce came out of the goal and Darell Parker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Darell Parker's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Shelby Bruce was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. Stacey Whitt hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Gerald Bowers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 78th minute, Moses Goodman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 92nd minute, Darell Parker left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The West Linn AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Shelby Bruce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Darell Parker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When West Linn AFC's Moses Goodman in the 97th minute got a chance for a shot 97th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Huron's goalie prevented a goal. West Linn AFC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Huron for a fine match.
