Joaquin Morgan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Van Burrell's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Duane Stern recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Van Burrell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Joaquin Morgan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Winsted AFC booed when Pella AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Van Burrell didn't get a good kick on the ball. Winsted AFC's Morgan Katz got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 65th minute, Duane Stern made a precise shot to the right of Joaquin Morgan. Winsted AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Joaquin Morgan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Duane Stern in the 68th minute of the match. When Sidney Akers fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Winsted AFC's protests and gave Sidney Akers a yellow card for diving instead. After 69 played minutes Winsted AFC got a freekick which was hit by Sidney Akers. 71 minutes into the match, Duane Stern notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Winsted AFC's Joaquin Morgan. Joaquin Morgan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Pella AFC fully deserved thier win.
