After 33 played minutes, Bonita's Teddy Scruggs shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Wesley Layton came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Bonita reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vernon Tidwell in the 34th minute of play forced Bonita's goalkeeper DeAndre Scott to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. DeAndre Scott took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgardo Ferris, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Robby Wesley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without DeAndre Scott having to interfere. Vito Sousa's late challenge caught a Clifton Heights's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bonita's DeAndre Scott played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgardo Ferris in the 64th minute of play. If Boyce Thomson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Edgardo Ferris kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving DeAndre Scott. That made the score 1-1 in the 68 minute of play. In the 73rd minute, Jeff Goins ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wesley Layton was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Jeff Goins charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jeff Goins the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Bonita's Jeff Goins got a free kick in the 81st minute. Robby Wesley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. DeAndre Scott tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 87th minute, Jeff Goins left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bonita fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Bonita had won after a very even match.
