The crowd rose to their feet as Sumotori Dreams's Emanuel Conn slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jim Ortega. That made the score 1-0 after 12 minutes of play. Santiago Diaz scored 2-0 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jim Ortega, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Santiago Diaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wiley Lind in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stacey Blankenship prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Dwayne Paige had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stacey Blankenship showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wiley Lind, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Donnie Huddleston fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jim Ortega having to interfere. Sumotori Dreams's Emanuel Conn got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sumotori Dreams's Santiago Diaz got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Emanuel Conn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Jay Mooney hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Millville's Jim Ortega played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Conn in the 57th minute of play. Louie Jarrell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Stacey Blankenship didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Millville. Willie Delarosa's late challenge caught a Sumotori Dreams's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jim Ortega breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Sumotori Dreams fully deserved thier win.
