Andy Ayers didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paxton AFC. With a little luck, San Lorenzo's Andy Ayers got control of the ball when D.J. Landis tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Jim Carter managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paxton AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jim Carter was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andy Ayers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. San Lorenzo's Andy Ayers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save San Lorenzo from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cruz Eaton during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After recieving a nice pass, San Lorenzo's Odell Saunders tried to score from far away in the 30th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Zack Sheridan's late challenge caught a Paxton AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zack Sheridan helped the player get up and apologised. Cruz Eaton hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Brendan McNeil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerard Glover, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 46 minutes into the match, Jim Carter dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Andy Ayers, 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gerard Glover stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Jim Carter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Paxton AFC's Brendan McNeil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerard Glover in the 64th minute of play. In the 67th minute, Jim Carter left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Paxton AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. When Zack Sheridan was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 71 minutes had been played. After 72 played minutes San Lorenzo got a freekick which was hit by Zack Sheridan. In the 73rd minute D.J. Landis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andy Ayers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If D.J. Landis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If D.J. Landis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 79 minutes, Gerard Glover mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the San Lorenzo and the Paxton AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 79th match minute, San Lorenzo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerard Glover to maneuver through the defense. Jim Carter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andy Ayers having to interfere. When Paxton AFC's D.J. Landis in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye San Lorenzo's goalie prevented a goal. Luther Rowell charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luther Rowell the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 86th minute, Luther Rowell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 89 minutes, Jim Carter managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paxton AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jim Carter was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Brendan McNeil came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by San Lorenzo's Gerard Glover. But to his dismay, Gerard Glover quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
