Landis in the 8th minute of play forced San Lorenzo's goalkeeper Andy Ayers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. D.J. Landis scored 0-1 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Andy Ayers, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 14 minutes into the match, Paxton AFC's goalkeeper Brendan McNeil had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gerard Glover. 18 minutes into the game, San Lorenzo's Werner Brock nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Brendan McNeil made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. A collision led to Paxton AFC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. D.J. Landis hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Paxton AFC's Cruz Eaton got a free kick in the 26th minute. Paxton AFC's Brendan McNeil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerard Glover in the 33rd minute of play. Brendan McNeil was a little too slow when Gerard Glover got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 43rd minute. The score was now 3-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The wind increased when Jim Carter made the kick off in the second half. Cruz Eaton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andy Ayers having to interfere. Paxton AFC's Brendan McNeil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerard Glover in the 58th minute of play. San Lorenzo's Werner Brock got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If D.J. Landis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. San Lorenzo's Gerard Glover got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Werner Brock's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Brendan McNeil read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. Paxton AFC's Brendan McNeil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luther Rowell in the 90th minute of play. In the 93rd minute Odell Saunders suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After a rather tough play, Paxton AFC's D.J. Landis got a free kick in the 94th minute. The supporters of San Lorenzo booed when Paxton AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Helms didn't get a good kick on the ball. San Lorenzo's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
