Bunker Hill Village FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Grady Nunez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 24 minutes into the match, Grady Nunez notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Highland Beach's Sean Wise. Sean Wise was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 31 played minutes Bunker Hill Village FC got a freekick which was hit by Jacob Stacy. When Kevin Wynn came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Bunker Hill Village FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kevin Wynn couldn't finish the play. Tod Herring recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Highland Beach's Tod Herring got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 41 minutes, Grady Nunez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sean Wise stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Grady Nunez's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. In the 47th minute, Darren Camacho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half Bunker Hill Village FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

It was beautiful to see Highland Beach's Travis Creech in action when he in the 75th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Grady Nunez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lawrence Esparza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tod Herring in the 84th minute of the match. Sean Wise showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Grady Nunez, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Darren Camacho during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 96th minute, Darren Camacho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Although Highland Beach had been in control for most of the match, Bunker Hill Village FC still came away with the win.
