Lawrence Esparza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jessie Davila, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 7 minutes into the match, Kevin Wynn had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Waylon Cohen. F.C. Laphroaig's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kevin Wynn was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Kevin Wynn could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Waylon Cohen made a huge save. Jessie Davila recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 16 minutes, Jessie Davila managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F.C. Laphroaig's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jessie Davila was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. F.C. Laphroaig's Waylon Cohen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save F.C. Laphroaig from getting a goal against them. Lawrence Esparza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from D.J. Bledsoe in the 25th minute of play. 29 minutes into the game, Kevin Wynn cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Waylon Cohen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 32nd minute Grady Nunez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waylon Cohen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Kevin Wynn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bunker Hill Village FC's Grady Nunez got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Darell Fujieda hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Grady Nunez to make the kick off. Grady Nunez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Waylon Cohen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. D.J. Bledsoe's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lawrence Esparza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Grady Nunez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Grady Nunez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waylon Cohen having to interfere. Lawrence Esparza made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Jessie Davila sent off a good shot on target. Jessie Davila might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lawrence Esparza. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jessie Davila ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Bunker Hill Village FC's Lawrence Esparza got control of the ball when Jessie Davila tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kevin Wynn's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Waylon Cohen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. 90 minutes into the game, Darren Park was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. F.C. Laphroaig's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bunker Hill Village FC the free kick. Darren Park hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Waylon Cohen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kevin Wynn in the 91st minute of play. If Grady Nunez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Grady Nunez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Bunker Hill Village FC had won after a very even match.
