The supporters of Wompa booed when Highland Beach was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Duke Whitney didn't get a good kick on the ball. Frankie Burch in the 33rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Sean Wise, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Tod Herring sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Wompa getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Denver Peachey hit a great ball. Carson Browne took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Stuart Hutchinson. Stuart Hutchinson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 43rd match minute, Wompa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Denver Peachey to maneuver through the defense. The Wompa players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Highland Beach were winning 0-1.
