Levi Baxter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from D.J. Bledsoe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 11th match minute, F.C. Laphroaig was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hal Marsh to maneuver through the defense. 12 minutes into the match, Morningstar FC's Rashad Dietz broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 13th minute, Darren Park hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. D.J. Bledsoe struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Levi Baxter didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for F.C. Laphroaig. In a very dangerous position, a player in F.C. Laphroaig fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 28th minute. Penalty! F.C. Laphroaig:s Waylon Cohen showed great skill when he stopped Rashad Dietz:s penalty. 30 minutes into the game, Morningstar FC's Rashad Dietz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Waylon Cohen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 33 minutes into the match, Morningstar FC's goalkeeper Levi Baxter had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jessie Davila. After a defensive mix-up in Morningstar FC's zone, Otis Hendrickson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Levi Baxter came out of the goal and Otis Hendrickson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 40th minute, Daniel Cherry made a precise shot to the right of Waylon Cohen. F.C. Laphroaig's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jessie Davila made a kick off. If Jessie Davila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Waylon Cohen was a little too slow when Colin Wesley got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 56th minute. The score was now 0-3. The supporters of F.C. Laphroaig booed when Morningstar FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pete Payne didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 61st minute of the match Darell Fujieda shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Levi Baxter showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Jessie Davila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jessie Davila recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Morningstar FC's Levi Baxter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jessie Davila in the 70th minute of play. If Colin Wesley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 80 minutes into the match, F.C. Laphroaig's goalkeeper Waylon Cohen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Cherry. Colin Wesley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Waylon Cohen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. F.C. Laphroaig's Waylon Cohen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save F.C. Laphroaig from getting a goal against them.
