Jay Burkett made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Daron Bright sent off a good shot on target. In the 21st minute, Glen Duarte left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The STL City FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 26 minutes into the match, STL City FC's goal looked a bit too open when Wesley Carver came free, but Jay Burkett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Glen Duarte made a kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Daron Bright was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Escalon's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave STL City FC the free kick. The supporters of STL City FC booed when Escalon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daron Bright didn't get a good kick on the ball. 57 minutes into the match, STL City FC's Glen Duarte sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carlo Thorne narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
