In the 26th minute, Fallbrook AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Daron Bright fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Andre Kimbrough came out of the goal and Wesley Carver tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Daron Bright had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 80th minute, one of Escalon:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Escalon. Derick Lyles shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Daron Bright sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 90th minute, Wesley Carver got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Andre Kimbrough took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daron Bright, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Erik Thorpe scored 2-0 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Andre Kimbrough, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
