Keith Castro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rene Hanson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. When Keith Castro fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Big FC's protests and gave Keith Castro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 29th minute, Keith Castro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 36th minute Alberto Vermudo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerardo Muller saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Big FC's Gerardo Muller played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abe Medina in the 37th minute of play. After having played for 38 minutes, Jeremy Greene managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Little Elm FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jeremy Greene was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The attack was good, but when Abe Medina in the 41st minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 46th minute, Keith Castro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abe Medina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Gerardo Muller tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Keith Castro was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Big FC's goal looked a bit too open when Abe Medina came free, but Gerardo Muller reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abe Medina recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 62nd minute Keith Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rene Hanson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jeremy Greene kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Little Elm FC's Jeremy Greene got a free kick in the 72nd minute. The supporters of Little Elm FC booed when Big FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodney Doyle didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Little Elm FC's Abe Medina in 88 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Gerardo Muller guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. The long shot by Henry Gunn in the 92nd minute really tested Rene Hanson's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The supporters of Big FC booed when Little Elm FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francesco Velasquez didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot 94 in the game by Hank Keith from a close distance when the talented Rene Hanson managed to make a qualified save. Little Elm FC's players were relieved.
