Sam Ponce kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Kirk Fitzpatrick made in the 5th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Parma Heights's Otto Wright. Albert Whitt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Brock Lyles made a huge save. Parma Heights's Brock Lyles proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Parma Heights from getting a goal against them. In the 19th minute of the match Ryan Holman sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Brock Lyles skillfully saved the ball. Jacob Paige could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Brock Lyles made a huge save. In the 21stth minute of the game Davis Orr who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Parma Heights's Brock Lyles was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 24 minutes, Davis Orr managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gotham City FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Davis Orr was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Albert Whitt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 31 played minutes Gotham City FC got a freekick which was hit by Davis Orr. Ryan Holman charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ryan Holman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Parma Heights booed when Gotham City FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ryan Holman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Virgilio McNair charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Virgilio McNair the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 38th match minute, Parma Heights was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Virgilio McNair to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice moves Davis Orr could shoot a difficult shot in the 40th minute, which Brock Lyles however easily saved by the left post. An unexpected shot in the 41st minute by Davis Orr got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Gotham City FC's Albert Whitt got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Oscar Willett to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, Parma Heights was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johnathon Sherwood to maneuver through the defense. Ryan Holman got his second yellow card in the match during the 58th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Gotham City FC's Ryan Holman got a free kick in the 59th minute. Davis Orr received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Brock Lyles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 65th minute, Davis Orr ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Brock Lyles was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. If Davis Orr had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Davis Orr in the 69th minute of play forced Parma Heights's goalkeeper Brock Lyles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Albert Whitt during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 74 played minutes Gotham City FC got a freekick which was hit by Albert Whitt. Davis Orr sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Brock Lyles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Davis Orr in the 80th minute of play. If Sam Ponce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Parma Heights's Brock Lyles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Davis Orr in the 88th minute of play. In the 89th minute Davis Orr shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brock Lyles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 93 minutes into the game, Albert Whitt cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Brock Lyles was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Gotham City FC had played much better football throughout.
