Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Marlon Stephenson started the match with the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Monte Healy kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Percy Trevino. That made the score 1-0 in the 3 minute of play. A collision led to Guilford getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Shayne Chappelle hit a great ball. Monte Healy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Percy Trevino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 13 minutes into the match, Monte Healy dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Percy Trevino, 2-0. Monte Healy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Romanguaça FC's Monte Healy in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Guilford's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Guilford's zone, Monte Healy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Percy Trevino came out of the goal and Monte Healy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 20th minute Monte Healy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Percy Trevino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Percy Trevino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bryon Jarrett, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marlon Stephenson got free with Percy Trevino in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 31st minute, Monte Healy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Romanguaça FC's Monte Healy got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Monte Healy in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Percy Trevino prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Marlon Stephenson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Monte Healy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Guilford's Percy Trevino got control of the ball when Marlon Stephenson tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 47 minutes, Dave Staley mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guilford and the Romanguaça FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 47 played minutes Guilford got a freekick which was hit by Dave Staley. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dave Staley was the one to do the kick off. Kory Buddle's late challenge caught a Guilford's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kory Buddle helped the player get up and apologised. After 60 minutes, Hal Driver mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guilford and the Romanguaça FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dave Staley kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. In the 71st minute, Monte Cotton ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Percy Trevino was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. When the match clock showed 75 minutes, the score became 6-0 when Marlon Stephenson sped through Guilford's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Percy Trevino. In the 80th minute, Dave Staley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 81st minute, Monte Healy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match clock showed 84 minutes, the score became 7-0 when Marlon Stephenson sped through Guilford's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Percy Trevino. Monte Healy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Guilford fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 91st minute. Penalty! The supporters of Romanguaça FC booed when Guilford was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dave Staley didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marlon Stephenson struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Percy Trevino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Romanguaça FC. Percy Trevino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Monte Healy in the 98th minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the Romanguaça FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
