Spectators: 7686 (Terracing: 5765, Seating: 1768, VIP seats: 153) Arslanian FC's Willie Knapp started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd play minute Willie Knapp came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Leland Boswell. 1-0. In the 10th minute, Willie Knapp ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leland Boswell was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. After 13 played minutes Arslanian FC got a freekick which was hit by Willie Knapp. Jed Vera fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 27th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball went over. It was a very nice shot. Willie Knapp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thurman Turner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leland Boswell having to interfere. Dennis Givens hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Arslanian FC's Gilberto Christian tried to score from far away in the 33rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Sonny Saucedo's late challenge caught a Hobbs's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sonny Saucedo helped the player get up and apologised. After 37 played minutes Arslanian FC got a freekick which was hit by Sonny Saucedo. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Travis Rowland to make the kick off. The supporters of Hobbs booed when Arslanian FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sonny Saucedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jed Vera hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. A throw-in in the 73rd minute of the game was made by Jed Vera with Willie Knapp as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Willie Knapp came free in the 75th minute and tried to tip the ball over Leland Boswell, but to the joy of Hobbs's supporters the ball went over. After some careless play in the Hobbs defense, Thurman Turner kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leland Boswell. The Hobbs fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leland Boswell should have stopped the shot. Willie Knapp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hamdi Wahbi hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Arslanian FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Hobbs had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
